BMHI

In 2005 a group of dedicated mental health professionals and community leaders came together to struggle with the mental health problems in the Northeast Philadelphia community where they lived and worked. After months of discussions that explored their own life experiences and dreams for the future, they decided to create an organization that would meld their combined strength with the strengths in the community to develop and provide stimulating creative and innovative services for persons in need of mental health treatment. They would develop a clinic that had the linguistic and cultural competence to be able to offer services to people from a range of backgrounds and experiences, including the many immigrants who had relocated to this community.

In 2006 they founded the non-profit corporation under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code named Bustleton Mental Health Institute, Inc., (BMHI) a reflection not only of a geographical focus, but also of a philosophical grounding in a community-based, holistic approach that became the vision for the organization.

Milestone Rehabilitation Program has been developed in partnership with Bustleton Mental Health Institute, Inc. The two entities Milestone Rehabilitation Program and Bustleton Mental Health Institute, Inc. will work together to provide a complete continuum of mental health and substance abuse treatment services to individuals from the Northeast section of Philadelphia. 

Milestone Rehabilitation Program is an organization developed by clinicians with the training and expertise to develop Level of Care 1 (ASAM) and Level of Care 1-WM (ASAM).
